Amazing place to stay for summer vacation
Travelled here from USA California, working at the hotel business myself, Very nice hotel, beautiful architecture and very green, in the mountains, cute cats around, tasty breakfast buffet, friendly staff, clean rooms, we had a beautiful coast view, has a pool at the restaurant area, 10 min walk from the beach, 5 min ride to lefkada town where u can jump on a bus, comfortable beds, beautiful art in the room, quiet neighborhood, narrow roads that lead you to the beach so careful for upcoming cars, I will come back here, taverns close by have lots of character and staff became like a family to us. But wait till u see the sea with bright blue water.

catastrophe
Vacation? Recommended? - a clear NO! We booked the vacation with a family friend and canceled our "vacation" after 3 days (we would have done so immediately, but nearby accommodation was only available after 3 days).
We are a family of 4, our little daughter is only 9 months old. The hygienic conditions in our room were so catastrophic that we couldn't put our daughter on the floor. Her feet were black after just a few steps in the room, the grout in the bathroom was completely moldy, the toilet is cleaner at every rest stop. We found feces on the balcony, the condensation from the air conditioning flooded the balcony.
The communal pool was cloudy and greenish, so we didn't want to let our children swim there. The outdoor facilities were also in a very unkempt condition overall.
We expressed our discomfort to both the staff and the owner of the hotel - he was never personally available.
After 3 days we left the hotel. We only got our money back for the remaining days we had booked after a lot of effort. We didn't hear an apology.
Unfortunately, we can't understand all the good reviews. We really didn't feel comfortable and can't recommend the accommodation at all.
In terms of hygiene, it was an absolute disaster and very old! What a shame!

The staff is very helpful. The cleanliness is average. The view is fantastic. It needs a makeover to make it more attractive, fixing some imperfections in the rooms. It also needs more adequate staff and more experience to help the already good employees it has

Good idea, poor realization
We have booked and prepaid in full for Deluxe Studio even in December 2022 (9 months prior arrival) and got regular studio. Upon our immediate complaint, they have been convincing us that it is the same type of room, just with different wall painting (?!) . Soon, another recepcionist came (Ms. Francesca) explaining that 4 buses of guests came the same time which caused misunderstanding, asking us to stay for the night in room no 12 and she will do her best to resolve the issue as I have asked either for an upgrade to HB or finding us the right room. Next morning we were transferred to another building to one of studios (not those with pool,off course). This one was not appropriate either (no dining table within the room/studio) and there was not enough space to bring in table from the terrace, but at least it was much newer than the first one and the building itself contained of 4 units only that gave us more silence and provacy.
Cleaness of these units is quite good, but bathroom gets full of water every time we take a shower due to poor drainage and water gets out to the room, so we kept a towel in front of bathroom door.
Another problem might be security: I have asked for key of the safe at the reception, but they couldn't find it, and cleaning lady kept leaving the terrace door (ground floor) fully opened every day after finishing with cleaning even though we kept closing and locking them every morning when leaving to the beach.
All in all: once the whole complex was a good idea, but much renovation is needed and customer care training for employees is highly recommended.

A surprise.....beautiful stay
A last minute booking that turned out to be a positive surprise for us.
Pleasant luxury apartment...very clean...friendly people. Extensive breakfast and what a great view.
The location is quiet and renting a car is definitely recommended. The island is so beautiful to explore by car!!!
And then come back to Kastro Maistro in the tranquility of the beautiful garden......
You can walk to the beach...about a kilometer...with nice eateries....
But experience it yourself....
