Okay

The place is cute and located just by the beach, the receptionist is, however, a mean-spirited individual. He began by scolding me for losing my way and then almost conned me out of transportation money to the airport which he refunded when I threatened to report him to the host. Other than the messy receptionist named Safari, I highly recommend this place.

Ok place, far location

Place was ok for the price that you pay. Cheap linen and pillows. It's far away from the main town center and expensive to get there by taxi.
Very nice beach just one minute away, you can have a walk in low tide and see the starfish

Balancing priorities and making informed decisions is the key.
If you prioritize nightlife, this destination may not be suitable for you. Watamu is 15 minutes driving time. In a town, it may take 1 hours to cover the same distance that takes 15 minutes by driving, making the perception of time relative and cost of a taxi rises up.
However, if you enjoy the sea, kitesurfing, white sandy beaches, and beach bars, this tranquil destination is ideal for relaxation and water sports lovers.

3 night stay

Hidden gem along the clean sandy beaches of jacaranda beach watamu. The road is quite rough both from watamu or malindi but even a small car can make it here. You can get a tuktuk or a bike to bring you also. It takes about 25minutes. The house is newly renovated, very clean rooms. Welcomed and check in by Safari. He was very helpful during our stay. We had to pay half the fee in advance. We had to send the deposit to a telephone number rather than a paybill number. They need to get one for more secure payments. Breakfast was okay but there's room for improvement. Slippers missing from rooms, carry your own. Awesome beach view and its literally a minutes walk to the beach. There are some restaurants around the beach but abit costly and mostly serving sea food. You can have an arrangement to have your food delivered by bike from watamu or malindi. This worked well for us. We also negotiated with the beach restaurants. We recommend Safina &marafiki. You can rent a swinging bed from them at reasonable costs. Within the property, just near polepole there's a pool but its not ideal for small children and beginners. Only a small part is shallow and the rest deep. Very few people on the beach.. perfect for those who love privacy! We would definitely return. Very friendly and helpful host Peter, Safari, Esther and the rest.

Low key, comfortable resort

Nestled among some high end resorts this small (8 room) resort is worth a visit. Situated on a property with shared beach and pool access, ground maintenance and security.The road from Watamu is a bit rough but once we arrived we were received by very friendly staff. Ken the reception, Dida the cook and the two young women serving and housekeeping provided excellent and attentive service. Loved the Swahili decor, a good fan instead of AC was much appreciated. The beach a short walk past the pool and other facilities.White sand/coral/shells, tidal exposure with sand bars flat and child friendly, the surf breaking quite a ways out at the reef. Breakfast included other meals by arrangement.
