Accommodation to recommend!

The central location is really great, the rooms are very spacious and clean and the spa and pool facilities absolutely fantastic! No problem even for those traveling with dogs.
Possibility to dine with buffet offer: quality / price ratio quite good.
In August the parking is paid and not very close: you need the shuttle that is still available within a short time.

Not a 4 stars hotel

This hotel is not a 4-star and I'll explain why: the entrance – if you arrive at night (which is very likely in winter) you have to climb a dark, steep, and lonely street to get to the reception. If you arrive by car, it's even worse – the hotel has no parking, and certainly no free parking (who expects a 4-star hotel not to have parking?). It only has one elevator (for 6 floors) and a room that is old but decent (no water bottle, no chocolate, or anything). They make the bed every day, but that's about it.
If the weather is nice, the best part is the balcony (with ugly, hard, and uncomfortable furniture), but with sun, sea, and the neighbor across the street (who can see me but not the sea). The breakfast is fine for a 3-star hotel, but the coffee is bad, the presentation is lacking, and there’s no personalized service or extras (they take your plate away so quickly that it feels like they’re rushing you).
As for extra activities – you can enter the pools without a bathrobe (which is an extra charge… in a 4-star hotel?), and if you can even find them, because there are many buildings connected like a maze, and it’s hard to reach the destination (if you have mobility difficulties, don’t even try). Perhaps one of the pools could be adults-only. It would be nice if they offered more free activities for everyone, a list of paid activities, and even activities in the village (maybe discounts for ice skating, champagne festivals, museums…).

thermal baths at your fingertips

I found the access to the indoor thermal pools very convenient, the hotel is close to the sea, also convenient the Lido Meduze (you should know that on the whole coast the access to the sea is by stairs as the shore is cemented) without sand with a pleasant area with lawn, even the restaurant of the lido is valid.
The rooms large, bright, clean, comfortable bed. The only flaw in the carpet!
The food in the restaurant is not very varied but of good quality... (in 5 days the desserts were always of the same type). Another Slovenian flaw the cost of water really excessive a liter bottle about 6 euros.

Less and less

I have been coming to this facility for two years but this year I have something to say. I paid a certain amount to stay there 12 days but unlike last year we had two rooms (there are 5 of us) and so I had given the excuse of the price to this thing, this year we are all in the same room with a double sofa bed and a double bed. The cleanliness of the room is really poor as it is made exclusively the bed and changed the bathroom towels. On the ground, however, nothing is passed and this is demonstrated by a map near my bedside table that has been there for a week. Forget about the food. Ok that we are not in Italy but really poor and with very very subjective tastes. It is repeated every evening appetizer at breakfast in the morning and also little continental choice. Often the bread toast is not put into operation and therefore not even a toast is possible to make. Having 3 children I found it very difficult. Last but not least the exorbitant cost of a bottle of water that we take every night because we have to drink while eating € 5.60 per liter. I do not understand this price at the bar but in the hotel I do not accept it at all. Portorož is our ideal holiday but for next year we will be forced to evaluate other. Too bad, really.

Hotel is okay, but certainly not 4*. The wellness is like in a aquapark - full of kids, noisy and overcrowded.

Hotel is more or less okay, but not worth the price. The rooms are really modern, clean and adequate for 4* hotel. However the rest of the hotel area and customer service is quite poor. The pools, spa and restaurant is super overcrowded, noisy and smelly and would need some refresh. The entrance to the pools is for free, to go to saunas you have to pay 18 euros per person. You cannot buy any drinks in spa, you have to leave the area and walk to the pools. however, the pool bar is open just until 6 PM, while the wellness is open until 9 PM. During our stay it was full of little kids, screaming all over the pools and we felt like in aquapark or local swimming pool not like in a wellness that is supposed to be calming and relaxing. The wellness is shared between various hotels, so you can imagine how full it can be. It was okay for one night but If you want a relaxing place to stay, it is better to look for a different hotel.
