Quiet hotel for a relaxing stay
Bear in mind that this side is shri season from May to October, so it is mostly cloudy, there is always a red flag and waves on the ocean.
The beach itself is sandy, shallow and long. Since it is municipal, all the lie hotels are located on the grounds, but walking to the water is just a little bit.
The area itself is very green and well maintained.
Staff mostly speak English that is not well understood, but some basic words are understood. In case of misunderstanding, call other waiters/bartenders to help)
The food was great, worried that everything would be spicy, however no problems arose. Lots of seafood, fruit every day.
Relaxed on an all inclusive, so the property as a whole did not go out.
The rooms are cozy, in general the hotel concept aimed at authenticity was very enjoyed.
In general, I highly recommend for a relaxing holiday away from the noisy urban environment

Unforgettable experiences
We liked the hotel area much more than the neighbouring ones. Very authentic, cozy and clean. We were scared it wasn't seasonal on this coast, but the weather was gorgeous! We were even burned on the first day, so we strongly recommend using sunscreen with high SPF.
The beach is great! The staff will always bring mattresses for sunbeds and towels, move the sunbed if necessary - the service is at the highest level.
We really liked the hotel and Passikouda in general. The perfect place for relaxation and a complete reboot. Big hello to the waiters – thank you so much for a wonderful holiday!
We will definitely come back again!

Fantastic Hotel and Wonderful Escape
During our stay, we celebrated a birthday, and the team went above and beyond by baking a cake and making the celebration so special. It was truly heart-warming and memorable.
Overall, it was a thoroughly enjoyable escape - relaxing, fun, and filled with great hospitality. Highly recommend!

Sri Lankan Bali
The service was exceptional, with staff who were attentive and welcoming throughout our stay. However, the food was a major letdown. For a high-end hotel of this caliber, the buffet offerings were below average and did not meet expectations. While everything else at the resort was perfect, the dining experience was disappointing.
If you’re visiting Ananthaya Resort, it’s best to plan for meals outside the property. Despite the food issue, this place is a must-visit for its incredible atmosphere, architecture, and top-tier hospitality. A little improvement in the dining department would make it flawless.
