Hotel Tip Top!

The availability and the welcome of Mrs Collomb very accommodating and friendly, despite the set schedules
The room is beautiful, large and very clean
Too bad we didn't have time to have breakfast and chat with the owner...it will be for a next time

Great for a night with the family.

Very good hotel. The lady who welcomes us is very nice. We took the family room which is very large. We have plenty of space. The breakfast is very complete. There is everything for babies. We have an 11 year old daughter who had her own room with her grandmother and we slept in the other room with our baby whose travel cot was already made available upon our arrival. The beds are comfortable, everything is very clean. Thanks again.

Don't judge a book by its cover

When you enter the restaurant to check in, you wonder what you got yourself into. The decoration is a bit oit of fashion to say the least.
The staff is very friendly though and the rooms are excellent. We stayed in an apartment which was renovated recently and absolutely spotless. The price (250chf/night for 3 pers) was very good.
Only downside is that you should have a car...

If you have a car, you're probably going to like this place better than I did. I chose it because of proximity to the station (my daughter and I were traveling by train) and the pictures of the restaurant. We found out a few hours before our arrival that the restaurant would be closed the two nights we'd be there. It is the only restaurant in town. Trying to get dinner the first night was a fiasco. We almost left a day early, but decided to stay and take the train to the western end of the lake (which turned out to be a great way to spend the day), and we ate in Payerne before going back to the hotel. Breakfast was good. The place was quite expensive (like everything in Switzerland). The restaurant was pretty, but they need to do some more work on the rooms, at least the one we stayed in. There were animal posters on the wall, and the bathroom had a real do-it-yourself feel to it. Overall it gave the impression of being a converted room over the garage. The proprietors did not seem to be on the property at night, which was a little weird.

Bonne table

Nous sommes venus en couple pour manger le menu de chasse ce dimanche à midi.
Le menu se composait de 2 entrées, une terrine et un feuilleté aux champignons, puis le médaillon de cerf avec sa garniture ainsi qu'un dessert composé d'une glace et d'une poire enrobée. Le repas a été parfait avec petit bémol la poire à botzi qui composait la garniture était cuite et recuite, Mon épouse lui a trouvé un goût pas très appétissant et moi-même je l'ai juste coupée avec le couteau mais quand j'ai vu l'aspect, j'ai renoncé à la manger. Un coup de rouge pour accompagner tout ça et nous sommes partis satisfait.
