EXCELLENT LOCATION, VERY INDEPENDENT, VERY CLEAN, EVERYTHING NEARBY, SURELY RETURNED.
The only detail is the check in, but they let us store our luggage and move to the pool.
We definitely come back, although there is noise, it is not excessive, nothing that does not let you sleep.

This place needs to be shut down!!
I was with a group at a nearby villa that had a check out of 12noon. All of the information published online states that check in is at 3pm however guests are welcome to leave their luggage. I made plans to do this however upon my 12:15 arrival, the hotel is completely locked up/borderline looking abandoned. 1pm rolls around, still nobody. I walked around the area for 2 more hours in the blazing heat. At 2:30pm, a maintenance worker said I could leave my stuff in the lobby and told me to come back at 3pm in which I did just that. At 3pm, still nobody there!!! This is without a doubt the angriest I’ve ever been in my life. What kind of hotel doesn’t have 24 hour reception? This is why I book a hotel and not an airbnb. 3:20pm and still no sign of life at the iguana hotel. It’s come to a point I don’t want to stay here and if they let me cancel my reso I would rather take my business elsewhere. I’d have a better experience staying in a bus shelter at this point. This property shouldn’t be on any of the third party booking sites and management needs to take a good long long look at their business because quite frankly, I feel robbed.

Excellent Hosts
I made my booking thru booking.com. When trying to cancel booking.com told me it was the properties decision to refund my money or not.
Upon calling La Iguana, they told me that such request was not received and that Booking.com had the money and wouldn’t release it. I decided to go to the property myself and as they were saying and very WILLINGLY trying to cancel my reservation Booking.com wouldn’t give them the option. I was shown by the reception.
Long story short, the female owner (I think) and the reception guy went thru hell with Booking.com
to actually get me the refund which they DID.
I will ALWAYS consider La Iguana Vallarta from here on out. The area is excellent. Zona Romantica. The hosts are HONEST people. They have a super cool “mini market” right up front with great prices and the facilities are great.
Thanks to La Iguana Vallarta for resolving this frustrating issue. Wish I could had stayed with them as they seem like great host. Cheers.
