Very hot in rooms (centrally controlled)
This is a very nice establishment; it seems well maintained.
Used by a lot of tour groups.
For whatever reason, I was assigned a handicap room with a king size bed; it was very spacious for one.
Comfy bed with fluffy pillows.
Thank goodness, the side door opens to fresh air (albeit freezing outside!)
Room equipped with small fridge, coffee maker, complimentary bottle water.
Breakfast was fabulous! ample/varied selection.
Our chicken dinner with mash potatoes + desert was delicious.
CONS:
My room smelled like pet & cigarette. The vent could use a new filter perhaps.
My huge handicap shower floor had slippery tile no rubber mat (imagine a handicap or older person slipping in the shower; accident waiting to happen)
Our tour bus group consensus: it was VERY HOT IN EVERYONE'S ROOM despite the thermostat in 0 (which leads me to believe that the AC/heat is centrally controlled). There were reviews complaining about this issue since 2014 and nothing has been done in decades despite so many past guests commenting on this. Hotel needs to stop response apologizing and rectifying the issue instead.
WE WERE VERY RUSHED DURING DINNER - staff shooing us out at 8:30 pm. This also seems to be a recurring comment/review by numerous past guests.

The odor you mentioned is a matter we take seriously, and we will review our cleaning protocols and ventilation system to ensure all rooms maintain a fresh and welcoming atmosphere.
Additionally, your feedback regarding the safety of the shower has been noted. We understand the importance of providing a safe and comfortable space, particularly for guests with specific needs. While non-slip mats are a standard feature in our bathtub and accessible rooms, we are happy to provide them upon request in any room to ensure the safety and comfort of all guests.
In regard to the room temperature, we apologize for the discomfort caused by the heating and cooling system. Our hotel is equipped with both heating and cooling systems; however, during the winter months, particularly in subzero temperatures, we provide heating only. During transitional seasons, both heating and cooling systems are available. We are actively working to improve the overall system to offer better control over room temperature, and we appreciate your patience and understanding as we address this matter.
Lastly, we are sorry to hear that you felt rushed during dinner service. Our aim is to provide a relaxing and enjoyable dining experience for all guests, and we regret that we fell short of this expectation during your visit. Please rest assured that we will review our service approach to ensure that guests can enjoy their meals at their own pace without feeling hurried.
