Lovely hotel, but breakfast needs restocking

The room has lovely simple details. The two robes in the closet were much appreciated as well, as the water bottles. The continental breakfast was really good, but they ran out of 1/2 of the items (including coffee) before it was over. The espresso maker in the room was appreciated but it has a learning curve and only makes the tiniest of luke warm espressos.

Great location

The room was very clean and well stocked. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. One of the quietest rooms I've ever stayed in. The Continental breakfast had a nice variety of healthy options. The staff was very attentive. Great location.

Lovely college visit

Very nice, luxurious stay--perfect for checking out Vassar with my prospective student. We ate at the Salt Room for dinner and enjoyed the breakfast there before our tour as well. Hotel staff was very nice and the whole place was spotless and the room was very comfortable and well equipped.

Work retreat perfection

Very comfortable rooms and extremely friendly staff. Convenient for our business meetings having the all in one experience of hotel rooms, restaurant, and presenting rooms all in one location. A great jumping off point to explore the campus as well.

Visiting Vassar

This is a top notch hotel with a location that cannot be beat if visiting Vassar College or the surrounding area. It is very comfortable, spotless and affordable! The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend The Heartwood.
