Wanted a staycation to just getaway for the weekend with the husband. Wanted a quiet place to decompress. They delivered. Not you fancy, frou-frou, Four Seasons. But if you want a beautiful escape from the world, this is it. Enjoyed the wine tasting and touring the wine cellar (sooooo cool!). Lounged out by the pool. Did yoga in the meditation garden. Fed the koi fish. Definitely want to go back. It felt like we were going back in time to Tuscany or the south of France.

The staff was super friendly and welcoming, especially the wine tasting host, Justin.
The location is quite convenient, with a beautiful property, pool and a hot tub. As long as you're not hitting high traffic you're 20 mins away from everything important.
Two call outs would be that the place is slightly outdated, and to let ppl know about cats on the premise (allergy warning). If I were the owner, I'd furnish the rooms to newer styles and add an after hrs electronic check in option.
Otherwise, definitely recommend the place.

Quiet, convenient and comfortable

I chose the hotel because I wanted somewhere quiet that was convenient to Spring Valley, and this one filled both those requirements well. Despite being busy the first night I was there, the hotel itself was not noisy. The room was clean and comfortable, with ample space to relax - little extras here and there made it even better. The grounds are lovely and enjoyable to walk in. I'm looking forward to returning so I can try the pool and hot tub!

This place was so beautiful. The grounds, the interior, unbelievable for the price we paid.
The staff was so accomodating. We booked one night, but when we got there decided to stay another night. I would highly recomend this to anyone. I was a wonderful choice.

Just a heads up about the 72-Hour Cancellation Policy

I've stayed at Vineyard Hacienda multiple times on monthly medical trips and loved the quiet, cozy, non-hotel, peaceful atmosphere. Even my little service dog was welcome. The staff there have been very welcoming and kind. Only one thing disappoints me enough to write this review. I canceled a reservation for September that I made through Booking.com because VH recommended I cancel it so I could get a cheaper rate directly through them. I canceled but forgot to call back to confirm I was still booked through VH directly. Turns out I was not. My fault, no problem! On Sept 5, I made a new reservation but unexpectedly had to cancel the day before arrival on Sept 8 due to an emergency we agreed to help with. VH's owner held us to a 72-hour cancellation fee (the cost of one night's stay) because I canceled within 72 hours, even though I made the reservation 72 hours ago. I completely understand and respect their policy but never thought it would apply to reservations made on or within 72 hours and for a repeat guest. The saddest part is that I had a credit with VH months prior for a previous "canceled before 72 hours" of approximately $400 that I did not use or ask for as it had been months since I'd been there. I still love VH but the disappointment I now feel will likely keep me from returning. And after this review, the owner probably won't want me back anyway. I just want future guests to know that the 72-hour cancellation policy applies even if you reserve on or within 72 hours. I didn't know that. My fault. I and my bank account are thankful I was only charged for one night as opposed to the entire stay.
